At Maison Vanilla, our journey began with a simple yet profound realization: many green vanilla farmers in Indonesia struggled to sell their harvests at fair prices, and curing houses often failed to harness the full potential of the high-quality beans available.
This resulted in shortcuts and the production of mediocre vanilla, tarnishing the reputation of Indonesian vanilla on the global stage.

The Start
At Maison Vanilla, our journey began with a simple yet profound realization: many green vanilla farmers in Indonesia struggled to sell their harvests at fair prices, and curing houses often failed to harness the full potential of the high-quality beans available.
This resulted in shortcuts and the production of mediocre vanilla, tarnishing the reputation of Indonesian vanilla on the global stage.

Our Commitment to Quality and Sustainability
What sets us apart is our direct engagement with the entire vanilla bean production process. We purchase organic green vanilla beans directly from farmers, often at above-market prices, ensuring they are fairly compensated. By curing and extracting the beans in-house at our own facilities, we maintain strict quality control and guarantee that our products meet the highest standards.
This direct involvement allows us to offer fully traceable vanilla beans, enabling customers to know when and where their vanilla was harvested and the farmer who cultivated it.

Empowering Farmers and Communities
Our founder, Kawindra, works closely with farmers and curing house workers, ensuring top-quality vanilla while empowering local communities.
By establishing direct relationships with farmers, we not only secure the best beans but also support sustainable agricultural practices and improve the livelihoods of those involved in vanilla cultivation.

Our Products
We offer a range of premium vanilla products, including vanilla beans and extracts. Each product is crafted with care, reflecting our dedication to quality and sustainability.
Our curing and extraction processes are meticulously managed to preserve the rich, aromatic flavors that Indonesian vanilla is renowned for.

The Journey of a Vanilla Bean
The cultivation of vanilla is a labor of love and patience. It takes approximately two years for a vanilla vine to flower.
Each flower blooms for just one day a year and requires hand pollination, leading to the growth of a single vanilla bean. After pollination, it takes about nine months for the bean to mature, followed by an additional four to six months of curing before it's ready for use.
This meticulous process contributes to the rich flavorand aroma that high-quality vanilla is known for.
